How to evaluate crypto bot performance claims

A performance number is useful only when its population, period, costs, drawdown, selection method and source are clear. Testimonials and a profitable backtest do not establish expected user returns.

Product research, evidence review and claim verification

Identify exactly what is claimed

Separate a feature claim such as supports backtesting from an outcome claim such as improves returns. Ask whether the number describes one strategy, selected users, a marketplace provider or all active accounts.

Demand the missing denominator

Look for dates, capital base, fees, funding, slippage, maximum drawdown, failed accounts and inactive users. A win rate without payoff distribution can conceal a strategy that loses more when it fails.

Treat AI as an implementation label

Altrady documents AI-assisted configuration, while CryptoHero and OctoBot advertise AI-linked workflows. Those descriptions alone do not establish superior live returns.

Use a verification ladder

Company copy establishes what was advertised. Reproducible methods and raw records are stronger; independent assurance with a defined scope is stronger still. Missing evidence warrants Unverified or Unable to Verify, not an accusation.
